Jay created ftdna’s Templeton DNA Project [expanded now to include all testers who carry the Templeton Surname] which [formerly] only includes Templetons who could document a genealogical relationship with Dr. John.

Jay recently published "John Templeton of Iredell Co., NC. Vol. II : & Robert Templeton of Pittsylvania Co, VA & descendants” a 453 page genetic genealogy of descendants of an unknown Templeton born “1704? in Argyllshire?, Scotland". That book describes four geographically separated family groups, one of which claimed a link with an Argyllshire Templeton lineage whose patriarch was born about 1650.
